Undoubtedly, slamming brutal death metal is underrepresented in Scandinavia, with Devine Defilement standing as Iceland's top example. 

Since forming in late 2016, the sextet toured Europe multiple times, bringing their death metal filled with brutal slams and guttural vocals to festivals like Deathfeast Open Air and Reykjavik Deathfest. 

In 2025, the band’s rise will continue with appearances at Stonehenge, Gothoom Open Air, Death Coffee Party, and a fourth album under Time To Kill Records.
